10 Ideas for Yards: Get Organized & Have More Fun

With the economy the way it is now, there is a resurgence in people's interest in just hanging out and enjoying time with their families, friends and neighbors- at home and in their yards. Time spent in your yard is time spent without spending any money and without having to go anywhere. Used properly, your yard is really a treasure right under your nose.

Of course, many of us look into our yards and just see another chore - something else that demands our constant attention to keep it looking good. That's because we've got our frame of mind all wrong. Our yard is there for us - not the other way around.

The best way to change your view of your yard to seeing it as something fun again is to get it organized. I recommend starting by buying or building your own storage shed - it's a great way to get all of that miscellaneous stuff (tools, materials, bags of fertilizer, toys, etc.) into one place and out of site - making room for the fun stuff.
